In the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois - Eastern Division, plaintiffs Ghaida Abdelrahman and Nicholas Solis have filed a lawsuit against Windy City-Fox Motorsports, LLC, Anthony G. Gilgio, and Matthew Sheahan. The case is identified as 1:24-cv-03029 and was filed on April 15, 2024. The plaintiffs allege violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Illinois Human Rights Act.

The plaintiffs claim that they were subjected to illegal discrimination due to their sex, national origin, marital status, and disability by the defendants. Ms. Abdelrahman alleges that she was treated differently than her male counterparts due to her being a woman from Palestine and married to Mr. Solis. Mr. Solis claims that he faced discrimination based on his weight-related health issues and marital status.

Both plaintiffs also bring forth allegations of violation of the Illinois Human Rights Act as a married couple working at the same company who faced discrimination, harassment, and retaliation due to their marital status, sex, national origin, and disability. They are seeking judgment for these alleged violations along with damages for wrongful termination in Ms. Abdelrahman's case and removal from position without pay in Mr. Solis's case.
