Delivery woman lodges suit over alleged dog attack

A woman is suing the owners of a dog she claims attacked her while trying to deliver a package.

Faith Williams filed suit June 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against Martha Morocho, Luis Morocho, Maria Morocho and Whitney Saavedra.

According to the complaint, Williams was delivering a package on West Bernard Street in Chicago on June 11, 2013, when she was attacked and bitten by the defendants' dog. She claims the attack severely and seriously injured her and accusesthe defendants of negligence and violating the state's Animal Control Act.

Williams is seeking damages in excess of $30,000, plus costs, and is being represented by Rosemont attorney Terry M. Lachcik of the Law Office of Daniel E. Goodman LLC.
