A woman is suing over injuries she suffered in a fall at a buffet restaurant.

Eunice Delgado filed a complaint on May 29 in Cook County Circuit Court against Supremeville Restaurant Inc., doing business as Yummy Grill Buffet 88.

On June 22, 2013, Delgado was at Yummy Grill Buffet, 17W705 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, when she slipped on spilled food in the fruit section and fell, severely injuring her right knee.

The plaintiff, the lawsuit states, is cited for failing to clean up any food on the floor, fully clean up the food, inspect the area, warn patrons about a dangerous condition, train employees properly, and ensure the floor was cleaned.

As a result, the lawsuit states, Delgade has suffered permanent, personal and pecuniary damages.

The plaintiff, citing premises liability and negligence, seeks damages in excess of the court's jurisdictional limit.

The plaintiff is represented by Miriam L. Hafezi of Kaiser Law in Bensenville.

Cook County Circuit Court case no. 2015L005448.
