The Palm Restaurant named in trip and fall lawsuit

Horwitz

Mathew Soraghan filed suit in the Cook County Circuit Court on Oct. 17 against Chicago Palm Inc., doing business as the Palm Restaurant, and Palm Management Corp.

According to Soraghan, an employee of the Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, he was injured at the Palm Restaurant, which is located in the hotel, in July due to a Palm employee's negligence.

Soraghan claims he was injured when he visited the restaurant at 323 E. Wacker Drive in furtherance of his work. Soraghan allegedly tripped over a cart which he says was placed in a location that constituted a tripping hazard.

Soraghan is now suing and seeks to hold the Palm Restaurant liable for his injuries. He is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

He is being represented by Chicago attorney Clifford W. Horwitz.
