Scales

A man is suing over claims that a deteriorated sign caused him injuries.

Trevell Grier filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Judith Cordova and Amado Acosta, citing negligence.

The plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 6, 2012, he sustained serious injuries when he struck his head on a deteriorating sign at the defendants' building at 3625 W. Roosevelt Road in Chicago.

The suit claims the defendants failed to manage the property, failed to maintain and repair the sign and failed to remove the sign.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented by Chicago attorney David C. McCracken of the Law Offices of Stephen G. Pinto Ltd.
