Apartment owners sued after man falls in hole

A man is suing a couple of apartment owners over claims he injured himself after falling in a hole while walking on the premises.

Ron Turner filed a lawsuit Oct 31 in Cook County Circuit Court against Joseph Robinson and Lilly Robinson.

According to the complaint, on July 12, 2009, and prior to that date, the defendants owned an apartment at 7031 S. Aberdeen St. in Chicago. Turner says that on July 12, he was walking on the premises to throw out his garbage when he fell in a hole, resulting in injuries.

The complaint alleges the defendants were negligent in failing to maintain the premises in a safe condition, among other claims.

Turner is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented in the case by attorney Eric M. Glasson.
