A Cook County man is suing after he tripped on a metal bar and sustained injury.

Kenneth Carmona filed a lawsuit Oct. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against Erickson Management Co. and Stonegate Condominium Association, citing premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 27, 2012, Carmona was a resident of Stonegate Condominiums at 9520 S. Mayfield Ave. in Oak Lawn, where the plaintiff claims the defendants allowed the curbing adjacent to the driveway to deteriorate and crumble.

Carmona alleges that there was a metal bar protruding from the deteriorating curb and as a result, he tripped and sustained injury.

He is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit. He is being represented in the case by attorney Warren E. Abrahamson from Sandman, Levy and Petrich.
