An apartment tenant is suing after she fell on ice.

Marion Harris filed a lawsuit Nov. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against Waterton Laurels LLC and Waterton Property Management LLC, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Harris sustained serious injury on Feb. 19, when she slipped and fell on snow-covered ice at the defendant owned parking lot at 8635 S. 87th St. in Justice.

The plaintiff claims the defendants negligently permitted the discharge of water onto the parking lot, failed to keep the parking lot safe, failed to warn and failed to maintain the premises.

Harris is seeking damages in excess of $30,000. She is being represented in the case by Raymond M. Rudnick of Carponelli & Krug.
