A local bar is facing a dram shop suit after a patron claims she was struck by other patrons.

Danielle Sykes filed a lawsuit on Dec. 10 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against 832 Randolph Inc. Dragonfly Mandarin Inc., Sarah Chang, Andrew D. Karos Family Trust, Dominique Dogan and Kiara Frazier, citing dram shop liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, Sykes suffered serious injury on Dec. 16, 2012, when she was beat, struck and kicked by Dogan and Frazier while at Dragonfly Mandarin, 832 W. Randolph Ave. in Chicago.

Sykes contends Dragonfly Mandarin supplied alcoholic beverages to Dogan and Frazier, which resulted in their intoxication, causing them to strike her. Among other things, she claims Dragonfly Mandarin had incompetent security.

She is seeking at least $50,000 in damages, plus costs, and is being represented by Scott D. DeSalvo of the Law Office of Scott D. DeSalvo.
