Three doctors are facing suit after allegedly committing medical malpractice during a surgery.
Roslyn Drew filed a medical malpractice lawsuit Dec. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Drs. Martin Borhani, Katherine E. Brown and Ari Mayerfield.
The complaint states on Dec. 16, 2011, Drew lost her left leg in a knee operation. She claims the defendants failed to adequately inform, advise or prepare her about the risks or complications of the procedure.
Drew is seeking damages in excess of $900,000 and is representing herself in the case.
