Fichera

Advocate Trinity Hospital is facing suit over allegations of medical malpractice.

Gregory Redfield and Ashley N. Redfield, as special administrators of the Estate of Leon Redfield, filed a medical malpractice lawsuit Dec. 30 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Advocate Health and Hospitals Corp., doing business as Advocate Trinity Hospital.

According to the complaint the defendant provided medical care to Leon on states on Feb. 25. The Redfields claim the defendant provided inadequate medical care, including failing to immediately assess Leon's condition, properly intubate and provide personnel experienced in placing a tracheal intubation.

They contend that as a result of the defendant's negligence, Leon died on Feb. 25.

They are seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and are being represented in the case by attorney Dominic R. Fichera of Fichera & Miller P.C.
