Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital sued over slip and fall

A woman is suing, claiming she slipped and fell on a hospital floor.

Edwina Morgan filed a lawsuit Dec. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against VHS Acquisition Subsidiary Number 3 Inc., individually and doing business as Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Morgan sustained injuries on July 20, 2012 when she slipped and fell on a clear liquid that was on the defendant's floor. She claims the defendant was negligent by failing to maintain the floor premises, clean the floor and warn patrons of the dangerous condition.

Morgan is seeking damages above $30,000, plus costs. She is being represented in the case by Gary W. Klages of the Law Office of Daniel E Goodman LLC.
