Woman sues condo association over slip and fall incident

Statham

Bernice Kasper filed suit Nov. 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Georgetown Oak Lawn Condominium Association, doing business as Georgetown No. 110 Condominium Association, Erickson Management Co. and Nicholas Builders Inc. over injuries she allegedly sustained in January 2012.

According to the complaint, Kasper was walking to her car at the Georgetown Condominium at 6101 W. 94th St. in Oak Lawn when she slipped and fell in the parking lot, which is owned and maintained by the Georgetown and was supposed to be plowed by Nicholas Builders Inc.

Kasper claims the defendants were negligent in maintaining the parking lot in a safe condition by allowing snow and ice to accumulate in an area they knew pedestrians would be walking.

She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by attorney David A. Statham.
