Jewel sued by customer who slipped on macaroni salad

A woman is suing a grocery store over injuries she allegedly sustained after slipping on macaroni salad.

Sharon Hickman filed a lawsuit Dec. 3 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Jewel Food Stores - Supervalu Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Hickman was at the Jewel in North Riverside on Sept. 29, 2012, when she slipped and fell over macaroni salad, causing an injury to herself.

Hickman is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented in the case by attorney Andrew S. Kryder.
