Chicago tour guide company faces suit over segway collision

Luke Scobie is suing Absolutely Chicago Gliding Tours for negligence, claiming he was hit by an untrained segway operator during a tour.

According to Scobie's complaint, filed Jan. 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court, Absolutely Chicago is a company that provides paid, guided tours around Chicago on segway machines.

Scobie claims he was sitting on a park bench in Lincoln Park when one of the segway operators on the tour struck him, causing him to sustain injuries.

He is accusing Absolutely Chicago of negligently supervising and training the segway operators on the tour.

Scobie is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by Chicago attorney Colin H. Dunn.
