Chandler's Chophouse sued after woman trips on plastic fork

A Cook County woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries entering a Schaumburg restaurant.

Helen J. Nichols filed a lawsuit on Feb. 14 in the Cook County District Court against Chandler's Chophouse and Banquets Inc. and Ala Carte Entertainment Inc., citing negligence.

Nichols claims that on March 3, 2012, she suffered injuries when she tripped and fell at Chandler's Chophouse and Banquets, at 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

According to the suit, Nichols tripped on a plastic fork that was stuck in the carpet, resulting in her sustaining serious injuries, including injury to her left knee.

Nichols is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys John C. Wunsch and Gregory E. Polites.
