A Cook County man is suing over claims he was attacked at a tavern.

Randip "Kevin" Hundal filed a lawsuit Feb. 19 in the Cook County District Court against Samuel Sanchez, John B. Inc., doing business as John Barleycorn J.B. at Schaumburg Inc., and John Doe, citing negligence.

Hundal claims on March 3, 2013, he was punched in the face by defendant, Doe, while at a tavern, at 1100 American Lane in Schaumburg. According to the brief, defendant Doe was so intoxicated he punched Hundal for no apparent reason, causing injuries to his face and mouth. The suit claims the tavern was negligent in maintaining a safe environment for it's customers.

Hundal is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Lynette Simmons Hoag, of Hoag Law Group LLC.
