A woman is suing over claims she was injured while riding as a passenger on a motorcycle.

Sherri Roche filed a lawsuit Feb. 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Steven P. Damico and Advanced Wiring Solutions Inc., citing negligence, respondeat superior, negligent hiring and/or negligent retention and joint venture.

The lawsuit states that on Aug. 27, 2012, Roche was traveling southbound in the middle lane of I-290 as a passenger on a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Craig Spurling and Damico was driving a Chevrolet truck owned by Advanced Wiring Solutions.

She claims Damico negligently merged into the middle lane, causing Spurling to slam into the rear of his truck. That, in turn caused another truck behind them to swerve and run over Roche's right foot, according to the suit.

Roche is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Michael Massucci of Kelly Law Offices.
