The administrator of an estate for a minor killed in a plane crash has filed a wrongful death suit against a plane manufacturer.

Kevin J. Conway, as special administrator of the estate of the deceased minor identified as LJW, filed suit March 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against The Boeing Co.

According to the complaint, LJW was a passenger on Asiana Airlines Flight 214 on July 6, when it crashed at San Francisco International Airport, causing injuries that led to her death.

Conway claims Boeing, the designer and manufacturer of the aircraft, was aware of previous problems with the auto throttle system and lack of an aural low speed warning system, but failed to reconfigure the aircraft prior to the accident.

Conway is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. He is being represented in the case by attorney Todd A. Smith of Power Rogers & Smith P.C. and Justin T. Green, Brian J. Alexander and Marc S. Moller of Kreindler & Kreindler LLP.
