Glenshire Nursing and Rehab Centre named in wrongful death claim

Black

A Cook County man is suing over claims a Richton Park nursing home's negligence caused fatal injuries to a family member.

Richard Reinbold, as administrator of the estate of Harold Reinbold, filed a lawsuit on March 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Glenshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre Ltd., doing business as Glenshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, Glen Health and Home Management, and Matthew Carlson, citing negligence and wrongful death.

According to the suit, Harold was a resident at Glenshire's facility at 22660 S. Cicero Ave. in Richton Park from March 26, 2012 until March 31, 2012, during which time he required supervision and extensive assistance due to high risk for falling.

Reinbold claims Harold fell on March 31, 2012, resulting in a fractured left leg and overall deterioration in his health. He further alleges the injuries Harold sustained contributed to cause his April 11, 2012 death.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. The case is being represented by Chicago attorneys Margaret Battersby Black and Bella Feinstein of Levin & Perconti.
