Mariano's Fresh Market sued after woman slips on green beans

A woman is suing a grocery store after falling and injuring herself.

Francis Gabor filed a lawsuit March 17 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Roundy's Illinois LLC, doing business as Mariano's Fresh Market, citing negligence.

Gabor claims she suffered injuries on March 29, 2012, when she slipped and fell in the produce department of the defendant's store at 3350 N. Western Ave. in Chicago. According to the suit, Holland slipped on green beans that had been left on the floor.

Gabor is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney David Nemeroff of Nemeroff Law Offices Ltd.
