Walgreens sued after woman falls at Lansing store

A woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries as a result of spilled liquid in a Walgreens store.

Kendra Banks filed a lawsuit April 1 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Walgreen Co., citing negligence.

Banks claims she suffered injuries when she slipped and fell on a puddle of liquid on the floor of an aisle at the defendant's store at 18133 Torrence Ave. in Lansing. According to the suit, the defendant failed to clean up the mess in a timely manner, resulting in Banks falling and sustaining injuries.

Banks is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Robert D. Fink of Collison Law Office.
