Suit accuses dentist of perfoming procedures on wrong tooth, breaking instrument

Teeth

A Chicago dentist and dental practice are being sued for medical malpractice by a patient who claims her procedures were performed on the wrong tooth and caused serious injuries.

Nicole Pradun filed a lawsuit April 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. David Sher and Oradent Associates Ltd.

According to the complaint, Pradun went to the defendants on Feb. 10, 2012 to receive treatment for dental problems she was experiencing.

She claims Sher failed to get her consent for all procedures, caused a dental instrument to break and become embedded in her tooth canal, failed to inform her of his mistake and performed dental procedures on the wrong tooth.

Pradun is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit of the court and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys with Curcio Law Offices.
