A Cook County woman is suing over allegations she sustained injuries from an uneven Chicago sidewalk.

Suzanne Belmore filed a lawsuit April 24 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the City of Chicago, citing negligence.

Belmore claims she tripped and fell on an uneven public sidewalk at 1406 N. LaSalle St. in Chicago on June 5. She contends the city's failure to maintain and monitor the sidewalk resulted in her injuries.

Belmore is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional minimum and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Francis Patrick Murphy of Corboy & Demetrio P.C.
