Condo association faces suit over woman's fall over ice on sidewalk

A woman is suing a Wheeling condo association and its manager over claims she sustained injuries after falling on ice.

Kathleen Engler filed a lawsuit April 20 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Rowell Inc. and Lexington Commons Coach Houses Condominiums Association, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states water leaking from a drain spout formed ice on the sidewalk, which caused Engler to fall and injure herself on Feb. 6, 2013.

Engler is seeking $50,000 in damages and is being represented by Richard N. Rosenberg of the Law Offices of Richard N. Rosenberg LLC.
