A Cook County woman is suing a plastic surgeon, claiming she suffered complications after a procedure to correct her eyelids.
Edith Gaines filed a lawsuit May 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Allen M. Putterman, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Gaines went to Putterman seeking plastic surgery on her eyelids on Feb. 17, 2012. She claims he over-corrected her drooping eyelid and failed to recognize complications she was experiencing from the surgery.
Gaines is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Timothy P. Rhatigan of Rhatigan Law Offices LLC.
