Processing company asks court to enforce $78K judgment against former employee over contract breach

Bluepay Processing is suing a former employee it claims refused to a pay a fine for breaching his contract.

Bluepay Processing LLC filed a lawsuit May 23 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Kevin Feagan.

The plaintiff claims Feagan violated a non-compete agreement he signed when he began working for it in January 2006. The suit Feagan agreed to not solicit BluePay customers for a period of five years after his employment ended.

According to the suit, Feagan was found guilty of soliciting BluePay customers and was awarded damages in the amount of $78,636, which he has has refused to pay.

The plaintiff is seeking for the court to enforce the award against Feagan and any other relief the court deems just. It is being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys J. Scott Humphrey and Jeffrey P. Swatzell of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
