Carpenter slaps homeowner with premises liability suit

A carpenter is suing a Chicago homeowner, claiming he was injured while working for him.

Landrill Collins filed a lawsuit May 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Amadou Lam, citing premises liability.

According to the complaint, Collins was working as a carpenter on Lam's property on South Indiana Avenue in Chicago on Feb. 22, when heavy floorboards that had been placed against the wall fell and injured him.

Collins accuses Lam of being negligent and failing to warn of the danger on the premises and supervise the construction work.

He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Scott B. Wolfman of Law Offices of Scott B. Wolfman & Associates P.C.
