A bank and corporation that handles consumer transaction technologies are facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims she was injured by the cash dispenser of an ATM.

Tujuana Perkins filed a lawsuit June 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against NCR Corp. and JP Morgan Chase & Co., citing product liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, Perkins was using the ATM maintained by NCR on the JP Morgan premises on South Western Avenue in Chicago on July 1, 2012, when she reached to take her cash and the dispenser closed on her fingers.

Perkins is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Lisa M. Ciharan of the Law Office of Cy Weiner.
