A woman is suing Kroger, claiming she slipped on grapes on the floor of a Chicago grocery store.

Jetun Lewis filed suit June 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against The Kroger Co.; doing business as Food4less and Kroger, also known as Peyton's Northern, doing business as Ralphs Grocery Company Distribution Center; In Retail Fund Chatham Ridge LLC and Ralphs Grocery Co., doing business as Food 4 Less, citing premises liability.

According to the complaint, Lewis was at the defendants' store on West 87th Street in Chicago on June 18, 2012, when she slipped on grapes in the checkout aisle and sustained injuries. She accuses the defendants of failing to maintain the premises in a safe manner for customers.

Lewis' suit marks at least the third complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court since April over an alleged injury caused by slipping on grapes at a grocery store.

The first was filed in April and the second was filed in May. Both of those suits name Jewel Food Stores Inc. as a defendant.

Lewis is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Andrew Fink of the Solis Law Firm P.C. in Cicero.
