The estate of a former long-term care resident is suing, claiming the facility provided inadequate care.

Patricia Lott, as independent administrator of the Estate of Ronnie Lott, filed a lawsuit April 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Alden-Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc., alleging wrongful death and violations of the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.

The suit states Ronnie was a resident at the defendant's facility at various times until his Sept. 27, 2012 death. While Ronnie was a resident there, Lott claims the defendant committed numerous acts of negligence, including failing to prevent Lonnie from developing pressure ulcers, protect him from neglect and monitor his respiratory status.

Lott claims as a result of the defendant's negligence, Ronnie sustained injuries that led to his death.

She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by David G. Pribyl of Dudley & Lake.
