A Chicago man is suing his landlords after he was allegedly injured in his apartment.

Michael Gresham filed suit June 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Teninga-Bergstrom Realty Co., Cagan Management Group Inc., Chicago Title Land Trust Co. Trust No. 1103168, Mirko Loncar and Bozo Loncar.

According to the complaint, Gresham was in his apartment at 8246 S. Drexel Blvd in Chicago, owned by the defendants, on June 11, 2012, when debris fell from a ceiling that collapsed due to deterioration caused by an accumulation of liquid.

The defendants are accused of negligently operating the property, allowing liquid to accumulate and flood the property, failing to warn of the dangerous condition, perform necessary repairs and follow proper inspection and repair policies.

Gresham is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented by the Law Office of Andrew S. Kryder LLC in Chicago.
