Slip and fall lands East Dundee property owners in court

Scales

East Dundee property managers are facing a lawsuit from a man who allegedly injured himself in a slip and fall on their property.

Jeffrey Wilson filed suit June 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Plote Construction Inc. -- also known as Plote Property Management LLC, Plote Properties LLC and Rental Systems LLC-- and Act Appraisal Inc.

According to the complaint, Wilson was on a premises owned by the defendants at 1141 E. Main St. in East Dundee on Jan. 14, 2013, when he slipped on a large accumulation of ice and fell, sustaining severe and permanent injuries.

Wilson accuses the defendants of carelessly maintaining their premises, negligently allowing a large accumulation of ice to form, failing to post warnings regarding the hazardous condition and not following inspection policies.

Wilson is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs and is represented by the Law Office of Andrew S. Kryder LLC in Chicago.
