A woman is suing over claims she was injured when a car drove into a laundromat.

Sabrina Boclair filed a lawsuit July 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Chellye Leverston, JKN Laundry LLC, doing business as Maytag Laundry Super, and National Shopping Plaza Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Boclair was doing her laundry at Maytag Laundry Super in the shopping plaza on 147th Street in Harvey on July 29, 2012, when Leverston drove her car from the parking lot, over the sidewalk, through the glass windows and into the laundromat, striking Boclair.

The defendants are accused of negligence, and National Shopping Plaza is also accused of failing to install curbs between the parking lot and the laundromat.

Boclair is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorneys Robert A. Stavins of Stavins & Associates in Waukegan and Kourosh Arami of Arami Law Office P.C. in Chicago.
