Guardian of minor sues car driver, owner over collision

A woman is suing the driver and owner a vehicle she contends hit a boy riding his bike in a Cook County suburb.

Marva Hills, as legal guardian of the minor boy, filed a lawsuit July 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Maria and Joseph Galione, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the boy was crossing Augusta Street in Melrose Park on his bike June 18, 2013, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Maria Galione and owned by Joseph.

Hills is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Gary B. Friedman in Chicago.
