A man who claims he was injured when a massage chair collapsed is suing the store he was getting the massage at and the chair's manufacturer.

David Lissner filed a lawsuit Aug. 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against The Ultimate Backrub Store Inc. and Oakworks Inc.

According to the complaint, Lissner was receiving a massage at The Ultimate Backrub Store on West Diversey Parkway in Chicago on March 19, 2007, when the massage chair collapsed, causing him to fall to the floor.

He accuses the store of failing to maintain the chair, and Oakworks of negligently designing or manufacturing the chair.

Lissner is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney James M. Geraghty in Chicago.
