A Cook County woman is suing Whole Foods, claiming she was injured when she slipped on a piece of fruit on the floor of one of its Chicago stores.

Lauren Diane Brill filed a lawsuit Aug. 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Whole Foods Market Group Inc., doing business as Whole Foods Market, and Whole Foods Market Store No. 10252.

According to the complaint, Brill was at the Whole Foods on West North Avenue on Aug. 19, 2012, when she slipped on a crushed plum on the floor and sustained injuries. She accuses the defendants of failing to maintain the store premises in a safe condition for customers.

Brill is seeking damages, plus costs, and is being represented in the case by attorneys at Ankin Law Office LLC in Chicago.
