A woman is suing over claims she was injured when a restaurant employee spilled a tray of drinks on her and she slipped on the wet floor.

Donna Pirolli filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against TGI Fridays; Carlson Companies, also known as Carlson Restaurant Worldwide Inc.; Sentinel Capital Partners; and Triartisan Capital Partners.

According to the suit, Pirolli was a customer of the defendants' TGI Fridays restaurant on East Golf Road in Schaumburg on Oct. 27, 2012, when an employee spilled a tray of drinks on her and on the floor around her, causing her to slip, fall, and sustain injuries.

TGI Fridays and Carlson owned the premises and contracted with the other defendant companies to operate and control the premises, the complaint states.

Pirolli accuses the defendants of being negligent by causing a hazardous condition on the premises, failing to immediately clean the liquid from the floor and permitting employees to carry too many drinks on a tray.

She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates in Chicago.
