Bingo player sues senior living facility, rental company over chair collapse

A Mount Prospect woman is suing over claims she suffered injuries when a chair collapsed during a bingo game at an assisted living facility.

Joan Gall filed suit Oct. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court against Five Star Quality Care-IL LLC, doing business as Church Creek, and Sneh and Sahil Enterprises Inc., doing business as Arlington Rental of Illinois.

According to the complaint, Gall was at the Church Creek senior facility as a visitor for a bingo game on Oct. 31, 2012, when the chair she was sitting in collapsed, causing injuries to her left hand and back.

Gall says Church Creek had rented the chairs from Sneh and Sahil Enterprises Inc. Her suit includes a premises liability count against Five Star Quality Care and a negligence count against Sneh and Sahil Enterprises.

She is seeking damages in excess of $75,000, plus court costs and interest, and is represented by Mark N. Senak and Kelly A. Fox of Senak Keegan Gleason Smith & Michaud Ltd. in Chicago.
