Cta 150x150

The city's transit system is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims she sustained injuries when the doors of a train shut on her.

Olivia Lambert filed suit Dec. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Chicago Transit Authority, alleging negligence.

According to the suit, Lambert was on the CTA's Blue Line O'Hare platform on Dec. 17, 2013, when broken and/or defective train doors closed on her.

She claims the CTA had actual or constructive notice of the door's condition, but failed to repair them, creating the unreasonably dangerous condition that led to her injuries.

Lambert is represented by Benjamin B. Kelly of The Vrdolyak Law Group LLC in Chicago.
