The owners of a Chicago grocery store are facing a lawsuit from a customer who claims she slipped and fell in the meat department.

Liza Camarillo filed suit Feb. 17  in Cook County Circuit Court against Pete's Market Inc. and Royal Liquors LLC.

According to the complaint, Camarillo was at the defendants' premises in the 4300 block of South Pulaski Road on Aug. 11, 2014, when she slipped on the floor next to a cooler that was leaking and fell, sustaining injuries.

She accuses the defendants of failing to properly inspect, clean and maintain the floor, cordon off the area around the leaking cooler and warn patrons of the dangerous condition.

Camarillo is seeking damages and is represented by Olga Groat of Lake Cook Law Group in Deerfield.
