A man is suing the owners of a suburban massage business, claiming their negligence and use of excessive force caused him to sustain injuries.

Jeffrey Bingham filed suit Feb. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against 168Perfect Inc., individually and doing business as Relax Magic Cuiping Li, doing business as Relax Magic, and its owner/operator Cuiping Li.

According to the complaint, Bingham went to Relax Magic at 168 Fox Valley Center Drive in Aurora on May 1, 2014, when the defendants' massage therapist used excessive force while stretching, pulling and massaging him, including but not limited to his shoulder.

He claims he sustained injuries as a result of the excessive force and further accuses the defendants of employing massage therapists who were not properly trained or licensed and failing to evaluate him before the massage.

168Perfect, the suit notes, owned and operated businesses offering therapeutic services with multiple facilities in Illinois and Indiana, including with its registered agent in Chicago, Cuiping Li, the owner/operator of Relax Magic.

Bingham is seeking damages and is represented by Christopher T. Theisen of Theisen & Roche Ltd. in Wheaton.
