A Cook County man has sued a group of medical professionals and facilities, alleging malpractice.

Joshua Delcore filed suit April 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Alan Loren; Allison Soward; Stephanie Lindeman; Dr. Robert Rao; Advanced Surgical Associates; Northwest Community Hospital; and Northwest Community Health Services Inc., doing business as NCH Medical Group, alleging malpractice stemming from a 2013 medical complication.

The complaint also lists Northwest Radiology Associates and Dr. Clifford Wolf as respondents in discovery.

According to the complaint, each of the defendants was negligent in an aspect of Delcore’s appendectomy care between May 4-8, 2013. The suit says the medical team failed to address the patient’s perforated gangrenous appendix, prescribe antibiotics appropriately, readmit the patient for and treat postoperative infection symptoms and prepare an accurate report.

The plaintiff alleges he sustained severe and permanent injuries requiring additional medical expenses and causing pain and suffering, loss of a normal life, disability, disfigurement and increased risk of future harm to his health.

Delcore seeks damages plus attorney fees and costs. He is represented by attorneys Craig Mannarino and Amanda Brasfield of Kralovec, Jambois and Schwartz in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number: 15-L-3760.
