A Michigan industrial transportation firm is suing a New Jersey company, alleging it did not pay for it to deliver via rail and truck several large-scale industrial units.

Walbridge Industrial Process, of Detroit, filed lawsuit July 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Kerans and Daly Inc. of Union, N.J., alleging breach of contract and quantum meruit.

According to the complaint, Walbridge Industrial does business in several states and entered into a contract Aug. 20, 2014, with Kerans and Daly Inc., a company that also does business in other states, for Walbridge to provide goods and services for various Illinois projects.

The suit says on May 21, Walbridge had done its part, including the delivery of six Siemens transformers from rail cars to various locations, but the defendant had not paid in full.

Walbridge Industrial Process seeks a balance due of $265,500, plus legal costs. The company is represented by attorney Timothy R. Herman of Clark Hill in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L007215.
