Customer blames Walmart for slippery floor

Walmart

A DuPage County woman is suing Walmart, alleging injuries sustained at one of the company's Kane County stores.

Karen Enterlin filed a lawsuit July 29 in Cook County Circuit Court against Walmart, alleging negligence.

According to complaint, on May 28, Enterlin was shopping at a Walmart retail store, 2000 Orchard Drive, Montgomery, when she slipped and fell on the floor. The suit says this resulted in severe and permanent injuries, including injuries to her bones, ligaments, muscles, nerves and tissues in her legs and back, requiring her to pay for medical care and treatment.

The plaintiff alleges Walmart was negligent in not exercising ordinary and reasonable dare in warning customers of the dangers of the liquid on the floor where she slipped and sustained injuries.

Enterlin seeks damages of more than $75,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Brandon C. Hall of Hart and David in Elmhurst.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L007708.
