A Cook County man is suing after a fight at Lollapalooza allegedly left him injured.

Ben Lenet filed a lawsuit July 31 in Cook County Circuit Court against fellow patron Sergio Vicenteno and Lollapalooza Festival Services LLC, a division of FBR Management LLC, the city of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, citing negligence.

According to the claim, the defendants practiced careless judgment on Aug. 1, 2014, at the Lollapalooza Festival in the city of Chicago’s Grant Park when a fight broke out between Vicenteno and a friend of Lenet after Vicenteno became intoxicated from being served multiple alcoholic beverages. In the altercation, Lenet received multiple injuries, including a piercing bite on his entire right middle forearm, while trying to separate Vicenteno from his friend, the claim states.

Lenet is seeking damages of more than $50,000 against the defendants for their negligence to not further secure the situation, which has caused Lenet to incur sums of money for medical expenses and become significantly and permanently disfigured and disabled, the claim states. He is represented by Todd A. Smith and Sean M. Houlihan of Power Rogers and Smith, PC in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L007818.
