Chicago Heights man sues Roosevelt University, unknown subject over alleged violations of the False Claims Act

A Cook County man is suing over claims of a malicious barring and violations of Illinois False Claims Act against Roosevelt University after being denied permission to visit the school's library.

Louis Robert Fasullo of Chicago Heights filed a lawsuit Aug. 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against Roosevelt University and an unknown subject associated with the university, citing malicious behavior.

According to the claim, an unknown library employee of the university practiced mischievous manner when they barred Fasullo from visiting the library – without Fasullo even knowing about the certain circumstances – on Dec. 13, 2011. The claim states that a report had been filed against Fasullo on Nov. 22, 2011, and is believed to be a false report.

Fasullo is seeking a petition of discovery to find out who the employee was the barred him from the premises so the university can rest its liability in the case and terminate the employee, the claim states.

He is being represented by himself pro se in the case.
