A Cook County man is suing over claims he was injured in the aisles at an Ultra Foods grocery store.

Terry Lane filed a lawsuit Aug. 21 in Cook County Circuit Cook against Ultra Foods, a division of Central Grocers Inc., citing negligence.

According to the claim, Lane was legally shopping at an Ultra Foods store, located at 571 W. 14th St., in Chicago Heights on Nov. 22, 2014, when he was injured by an employee lowering a large pallet loaded with items of merchandise, causing him to sustain injuries of a personal nature, including pain and suffering, which has caused him to expend money for medical expenses and treatment.

Lane is seeking damages of more than $50,000 plus the costs of this suit for Ultra Food’s negligence to not properly warn its customers of the dangers of an improperly lowered pallet, the claim states.

He is being represented by Richard C. Sklare of the Sklare Law Group, Ltd., in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L008608.
