A Cook County woman is suing a hospital and two doctors, alleging malpractice.
Sue Lundeen, independent administrator of the estate of David Lundeen, filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against St. Alexius Medical Center, Addison Medical Associates, Dr. Mark Dubin and Dr. Richard Vincent.
According to the complaint, David Lundeen died Nov. 6, 2013, as a result of sepsis and a perforated bowel, complications that resulted from a colonoscopy and an operation on his esophagus performed by the defendants during the previous month.
Sue Lundeen seeks compensation of more than $50,000 for medical, drug and incidental expenses, and other relief deemed fair by the court. She is represented by attorneys James A. Karamanis, Jennifer Timm and James A. Karaman of Barney & Karamanis in Chicago.
