CHICAGO — A Cook County woman says she was injured when she tripped and fell on an elevator at North Park College and Theological Seminary nearly two years ago.

Nesly Sanchez filed a lawsuit Jan. 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against North Park University and North Park College and Theological Seminary, alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Sanchez was in the defendant’s building at 3225 W. Foster Ave. in Chicago on Feb. 26, 2014, when she tripped and fell because the elevator was uneven with the floor. As a result of the accident, Sanchez says she suffered bodily injuries and mental anguish, and incurred medical expenses and lost wages.

Sanchez seeks damages in excess of $50,000. She is represented by attorney Fred I. Benjamin of Benjamin and Shapiro Ltd. in Chicago.
